Day 359 (Through the Bible in a year readings for today: Haggai; Rev. 16 )
CHRIST YOUR SAVIOR IS BORN
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)
MERRY CHRISTMAS! What a glorious day this is.
Christ your Savior is born.
And this changes everything!
Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!
No more let sins and sorrows grow nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found.
Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo; Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Mild He leaves His throne on high, born that man no more may die;
Born to raise the sons of earth; born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!"
God's Son for a gift has been sent you this night.
To be your Redeemer, your Joy and Delight.
Be near me, Lord Jesus! I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And take us to heaven to live with Thee there. Amen.
