November 3, 2020 - CALL UPON THE LORD

Day 308 - (Today’s Bible readings: Ezra 9:1-15; Psalm 116; 1 Peter 2:1-12)

CALL UPON THE LORD
1 I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.
2 Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.  (Psalm 116:1-2)

David is emphasizing the importance and power of prayer. In fact, it is because God mercifully hears David’s prayer, that David proclaims His love for the Lord.

Today is certainly a day for Christians in America to also emphasize the importance and power of prayer. On this election day, the call is to PRAY, AMERICA! PRAY!

Heavenly Father, Lord of the nations, please have mercy on America and bless us with leaders who will defend the lives of the pre-born and their mothers, as well as our religious freedom. We further pray for peace and calm following the election results. Above all, may America continue to be a place where the Gospel is proclaimed without interference of any kind. In Jesus’ saving name. Amen.
