Day 139 - (Today’s Bible readings: Leviticus 10; Psalm 119:89-96; Mark 16:1–20)
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16 ESV)
● Jesus is giving each of us Christians our marching orders - Go and tell the good news.
“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
● He is giving us our reason for living - lead others to Jesus.
● He is giving us a simple motivation - people must believe or face damnation.
“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Do you sense how crucial obedience to this command is for the souls of others?
How do we respond when we hear God’s command to “go and tell” today?
This little Gospel light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.
This little Gospel light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.
This little Gospel light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.
It will point the way to heaven, I’m going to let it shine.
It will point the way to heaven, I’m going to let it shine.
It will point the way to heaven, I’m going to let it shine.
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.
Let’s look for opportunities to share Jesus with others and thereby point them to heaven.
Dearest Lord Jesus, thank You for granting me saving faith in You. Please use me to go and tell others so that they can also be saved and not condemned. Amen.
“See” you in church tomorrow!
