April 18, 2018 - PRAISE, MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN

Day 108 - (Today’s Bible readings: Exodus 28:14-43; Psalm 99; Mark 5:1-20)

The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!
    He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
The Lord is great in Zion;
    he is exalted over all the peoples. (Psalm 99:1-2 ESV)
=
    Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
    To His feet your tribute bring;
    Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
    Evermore His praises sing:
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Praise the everlasting King.

    Praise Him for His grace and favor
    To His people in distress;
    Praise Him still the same as ever,
    Slow to chide, and swift to bless:
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Glorious in His faithfulness
(“Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven,” Lutheran Service Book, #793)

Almighty God, I praise and thank You for being the Lord of my life and the Savior of my soul. May the way I live my life bring glory to Your name and other sinners to Your cross. Amen.
