Day 213 - 1 Thessalonians Sunday (chapters 4-5)
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.” (Thessalonians 4:3-7 ESV)
Impurity is one of the devil’s great tools designed to pull people away from Christ. That is why the Lord gave us the Sixth Commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and why there are so many Bible passages encouraging purity.
The purity prayer included here is an excellent tool to help our young remain pure and chaste.
Lord, thank You for the forgiveness of all of my sins through the innocent death of Jesus on the cross. Please help me and my loved ones to follow Your plan for purity. Amen.
