November 11, 2016 - Veterans Day

GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!” (Psalm 33:12 ESV)

On Veterans Day 2016 we pause to
thank God for all who serve or have ever served in our nation’s military. However, what do you do the rest of the year?

Whenever I notice someone wearing a hat or something else that identifies them as a veteran, I shake their hands and thank them for serving our country. This includes wishing them God’s blessings. So, thank a vet today and pray for all who wear the uniform of our country.

Thank You, heavenly Father, for all who have served and are now serving in the armed forces of the United States. Grant Your comfort and peace to all who have lost loved ones who have served our nation. Watch over those who are in the military today. May they serve with distinction and safely return home soon. Thank You above all else for Jesus, the One who served all of mankind by doing battle with Satan and winning our salvation. In His saving name. Amen.
