June 23, 2018 - LIVE FOR JESUS

Day 174 - (Today’s Bible readings: Numbers 3:27-51; Psalm 143; 2 Corinthians 5:14-6:13)

“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15 ESV)

What controls your life? For Paul the answer was “the love of Christ.” He then makes the following inspiring points:

Jesus died for you.
You no longer live for yourself.
You now live for Jesus, who died and rose for you.

What Paul has outlined is the secret to a full and meaningful life. It begins with trusting that in the life and death of Jesus you are given forgiveness, peace, and the assurance of heaven. You are also given a reason to live – for Him!

Lord Jesus, teach me to live for You by reminding me of what You accomplished for me on the cross. And then open my eyes for opportunities today to share You with others so that they, too, can live for You now, and then live with You forever. In Your saving name, O Lord.  Amen.

“See” you in church tomorrow!
