April 7, 2019 - GOD IS THE BUILDER OF EVERYTHING

Day 97 - (Today’s Bible readings:  2 Samuel 22:26-51; Psalm 92; Hebrews 3:1-11 )
“For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4 ESV)

When it comes to the origin of the world, many Bible doubters say that God didn’t create the world by the power of His word. However, we do believe what the Bible has to say:

“The builder of all things is God.”

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”   (Genesis 1:1)

We Christians take great comfort in the fact that we are not the result of random happenstance. Instead, we are part of God’s plan.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Let all who hear Now to his temple draw near,
  Joining in glad adoration!
(“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,” Lutheran Service Book, CPH 2006 #790)

Lord Jesus, thank You for creating the world and everything and everyone in it. Help us to always remember that You, the King of creation, are in charge of everything.  Amen.

“See” you at the Communion table this morning!

Pastor David Paape

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105 ), is the theme for this three-year journey through the entire Old Testament once (the Psalms - twice yearly), and the New Testament twice. There will be daily readings from the O.T., Psalms and the N.T. Special days on the church calendar will be highlighted with appropriate readings. This calendar has been compiled by representatives of the Lutheran Church of Canada, the North American Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Please click this link for the daily reading calendar:
