July 9, 2020 - OUR MAJESTIC LORD CARES FOR US

Day 191 - (Today’s Bible readings: Jeremiah 32:1-15; Psalm 9; Acts 19:11-20)

OUR MAJESTIC LORD CARES FOR US

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Psalm 9  ESV)

It is so overwhelming to know that the Creator of the universe remembers us and cares for us. The greatest example of the Lord’s majestic activity in our lives is His mercy and grace showered upon us from the cross. We are redeemed, forgiven and heaven-bound because Jesus came to save us

Yes, O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.

May we vigorously share this good news whenever we can and wherever we may be!

Almighty and majestic Lord of all that is, thank You for saving me from damnation. May I spend the rest of days praising and sharing Your name in my daily life so that many others may come to worship You too. Amen.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105 ), is the theme for this three-year journey through the entire Old Testament once (the Psalms - twice yearly), and the New Testament twice. There will be daily readings from the O.T., Psalms and the N.T. Special days on the church calendar will be highlighted with appropriate readings. This calendar has been compiled by representatives of the Lutheran Church of Canada, the North American Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
