Day 274 - Obadiah Friday
“For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations.” (Obadiah 15 ESV)
“Throughout history, God has used people like Obadiah to speak His words, and He used nations such as Edom and Israel as object lessons. Edom paid the price for spiritual arrogance and indifference; Israel was punished for unfaithfulness. However, God remained faithful to His people. He kept His promises and preserved a faithful remnant.
There are times when we also are spiritually arrogant and deserve punishment.
But God keeps calling us to repentance and to believe His promise of salvation.
To all who listen to His Word, He has given the privilege of serving as witnesses to point others to His grace in the one Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word of warning. May Your Spirit keep keep me faithful. And may I know the joy of sharing Jesus with others. In His precious and saving name. Amen.
