Day 346 - 2 John Sunday
“4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. 5 And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another.” (2 John 1:4-5 ESV)
As we prepare to begin a new week, what a perfect reminder of how God wants us to go through these next 7 days. As Paul says, God is not giving us a new commandment, even though each day is a new opportunity to “get it right.”
What can motivate us to love one another?
“We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19 ESV)
Dearest Lord Jesus, thank You for first loving me. Please work Your love for others through me. In Your comforting and saving name. Amen.
